The USS Wisconsin Radio Club, Inc., is a not-for-profit Virginia corporation and has been approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization effective as of April 18, 2018. Monetary donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. All donors will receive a letter or email acknowledging their gift. Annual membership dues are not tax-deductible, but amounts paid in excess of dues may be deductible (you must itemize on your Form 1040 to be able to deduct any charitable giving). Donations of certain vintage US Navy and similar radio equipment suitable for museum exhibits may be accepted if approved in advance by the Board of Directors. Please refer to the Contact page to make an inquiry.
Upon approval, in-kind donors will receive a letter or email describing the donated equipment and acknowledging their gift. However, determining the value of the equipment is the responsibility of the donor; that is, the USS Wisconsin Radio Club, Inc., as donee does not make any decision regarding the value of any non-cash gift or provide any tax advice. Completion and filing of any forms with the IRS is strictly the responsibility of the donor.
