On Wednesday, April 19, 2022, at 8:30 AM, the Nauticus will recognizing the Wisconsin Amateur Radio Club as one of 3 Top Volunteer Groups for service in 2022.

The email concerning the award from Susie Hill, Volunteer Resource Manager stated:


Good evening all:

On behalf of Nauticus and the Battleship Wisconsin, we’d like to thank you for your service in preserving the life of our mighty Battleship Wisconsin with preparing spaces to be open for guests to view, communicating with people around the world by radio, and general ship maintenance of clearing drains and welding.

To show our appreciation, we will be recognizing our top three volunteer groups for 2022, Aegis Romania, USS Wisconsin Amateur Radio Club, and Tidewater Tech, as part of our Award Ceremony at the Nauticus All-Staff Meeting next Wednesday, April 19th, 8;30-9:30 in our Nauticus Theater. If interested in have a group representative attend the All-Staff Meeting to receive your award, please RSVP to me. Otherwise, we can arrange for you to receive your award the next time you are with us.

We hope many of the local Radio Amateurs will be able to attend at the Nauticus Theater.

Parking is available across the street from the Nauticus at the Plume Street Garage.
