Meetings & On the Air

The Wisconsin club hosts monthly meetings that alternate between in-person and virtual. Additionally, you can find information about upcoming on the air events

Welcome

Thank you for visiting the home page of the USS WISCONSIN RADIO CLUB, INC. Our web site will provide you with information regarding our Amateur Radio Station, N4WIS, as we participate in “Museum Ships of the Air” and other special events. Our station is located just aft of the Bridge (Level 03) on America’s largest and last battleship. If you live in or are visiting the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, please join us at one of our monthly luncheon meetings - or better yet, come aboard when N4WIS is on the air. This web site also has information regarding the amazing history of BB-64, including videos that will take you on a below-deck tour and will show the firing of the “Wisky’s” 16-inch guns. There is much to explore here, and we hope you enjoy learning all about the USS Wisconsin. We serve as volunteer goodwill ambassadors for the Hampton Roads community. We strive to display our wonderful hobby, Amateur Radio, to the public and to help educate young people about Radio Communication and its usefulness to the Navy. By means of “Ham Radio” many persons throughout the United States and the world will learn about the presence of this great ship in our Historic Seaport.
